Here lies the rabbi, great in the Torah and in piety, knowledgeable in the Six Orders of the Mishnah and in Poskim, studied the Torah diligently day and night, our teacher and rabbi R’ Mordechai Meir son of HaRav Nechamia of blessed memory, his soul returned to the heavens on the Holy Sabbath 27 Shevat 5664 [13 February 1904].
