Here lies. How great is the sorrow for everyone who know him, his son will mourn him, they will weep and cry for this man who was lowered to his grave at the prime of his life, he is the honest and righteous, was pleasant to the place and to people, an offspring of a noble family, our honorable teacher Mordechai son of R’ Yisrael Yosef of blessed memory Wolf, died on the eve of the Holy Sabbath 9 Iyar in the year 5642 [28 April 1882] May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life.
