Written on the opened book "Who is the man that shall live, and not see death" [Psalms 89:48]. Here lies a man upright and honest, all of his deeds were done with skill, tender in years, our teacher Eliezer son of our teacher Ben-Zion, died on Monday 25 Menachem Av [26 August 1867] by the abbreviated era May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life.
