A stone from the wall will shout in a bitter voice
for the soul of an important young man 21 years old
who suffered from pain all the days of his life,
followed God and worshiped him, the honorable
Michael of blessed memory son of the great rabbi
our teacher and rabbi Yehudah [Judah] May his light
shine died 19 Shevat in the year 5660 [19 January 1900]
by the abbreviated era
May his soul be bound in the bond of everlasting life
